Dara Pharma’s Nest processing machines for Vials, Syringes and Cartridges

Since 2008, Dara Pharma has been investing in the development of new RTU (Ready-to-use) technologies that enable the processing of aseptic products in a versatile, adaptable, and compact way, reducing energy consumption and the space needed on site to achieve flexibility.

Nest filling and closing was the first and most important development in this area in 2008. These solutions had to be considered in the context of full lines, in which cross-contamination had to be taken into account as a whole, rather than as individual pieces of pharmaceutical processing machinery.

This realization led to the development of various complementary equipment to conduct aseptic processes such as debagging, delidding, denesting and renesting, and loading and unloading systems for freeze dryers, which complete and modulate our RTU lines.

Because of the evolution and increasing use of RTU formats, major manufacturers evolved the nest concept, resulting in the tray format, which could function with vials and cartridges in bigger clusters. As a result, it was possible to increase production rates while lowering the cost of the final product.

As a pioneer in developing these specific systems, Dara Pharma has once again taken the market by storm, by introducing our “Combi” RTU lines. These pharma packaging solutions allow both nest and tray processing, denesting the product at the source, and managing vials, syringes and cartridges individually, according to the customer's needs for each application.
